Announcement; The South Reading MCC will organise an Open Adult Solo Hare & Hounds event to be held under the National Sporting
Code of the Auto-Cycle Union, the Enduro Standing and Event Specific Supporting Regulations, these Supplementary Regulations and any
Final Instructions which may be issued.
The ACU National Sporting Code and Standing Regulations are published annually in the ACU Handbook.

Eligibility. All riders must hold a current ACU or SACU licence; and be aged 15 or over. One event licences will be available via
SPORT80 if a rider does not hold a valid competition licence. Riders who wish to apply for a full ACU licence must join a club first. South
Reading M.C.C. Annual Club membership is available for £10 via acu.sport80.com/events
Entries. SOLO entry fee £60, (DAY Entries, if available) will be £75), Closing date for entries will be Thursday 19th March 2026
at 7pm. Total Entry limit 120.
Entry will be via acu.sport80.com/events ONLY before the event is full.
Final instructions, entry lists, results and future event regs will be emailed to every entrant plus they will be available via the South Reading
MCC Facebook Page.
Start. The start will be at ASHDOWN FARM, BLEWBURY, OXON and will be signposted from the A417 between Streatley and
Blewbury.
Event Open to all adults riding SOLO motorcycles only. Event will be Hare & Hounds only which will require the rider to complete as
many laps as possible during the event. NO SPECIAL TEST The event will be 3 hours in length starting at 11am. There will be a riders
meeting 15 minutes prior to the event which you must attend. The first 5 riders will start at racetime followed by further groups of 5. DEAD-
ENGINE START. The starter will determine the gap between groups of 5 riders.
Classes EXPERT, CLUBMAN A, CLUBMAN B, BEGINNERS and VETERANS.
Refuelling – In designated area only. This area will be out of bounds to everyone except riders and officials
Course. All classes will compete on a 6 mile course consisting of open fields, woodland and a Moto X course including hills. The course will
not include use of public roads.
Signing on and Machine Examination. Drivers must sign on 45 – 60 minutes before the start producing:-
An ACU Licence. One day ACU licences are available and must be purchased via acu.sport80.com/events, they will not be available on the
day. Machine Examination. Will be at least 30 minutes prior to start time, bikes will then be put in the Parc Ferme. Helmets to carry
appropriate ACU stamp as defined in handbook. Riders to Note: You may be asked to take part in a drugs test. It is your responsibility to
declare at signing on if you are taking prescribed drugs which may impact on performance.
Tyres. There are no tyre restrictions
Non-starters The South Reading MCC committee have decided that entry money will only be refunded to entrants who inform the Secretary
of the Meeting at least 5 days before the event in writing if they are to be a non-starter.
Nearest hospital Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading.
Other Details Toilets and a Refreshment van will be available at the start.
Security Competitors must be aware that the security of their machines and other property remains their responsibility at all times.
South Reading MCC reserve the right to re-grade riders that they feel may have entered the wrong class.
