Get ready for an unforgettable day of off-road motorcycle racing at the Jack Stocker Hare and Hounds Enduro on Saturday, 31 October 2026.
Riders will tackle a demanding cross-country course designed to test speed, stamina and bike control. Expect fast open sections, technical woodland trails, steep climbs, challenging descents and plenty of natural obstacles. Whether you are chasing a podium place or simply aiming to complete every lap, this event promises proper off-road action from start to finish for all adult classes. The course will be between 6 and 7 miles in length. For this event we will not be using the MX track however we will be using the stubble fields. This will give a great alternative making the event a little more unique.

Who Can Enter?
The event welcomes all adult rider classes and ability levels, with classes available for novice, sportsman, expert, veteran .
All competitors must hold the required competition licence, club membership and insurance, where applicable. Riders must also wear approved protective equipment and use a motorcycle that meets the event’s technical and noise regulations.
A Halloween Weekend Challenge
Taking place on Halloween, this is the perfect opportunity to finish the season with a thrilling day in the dirt. Spectators can look forward to close racing, impressive riding and a lively paddock atmosphere.
Fancy dress for spectators and support crews is encouraged, and there will be a catering van on site serving breakfast rolls, burgers, teas, coffees and other healthy snacks.
Spectator Information
Spectators are welcome at designated viewing areas around the course. Please follow all marshal instructions, remain behind safety barriers and keep children and dogs under close supervision.
The burger van will be available on site, together with toilets. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear, as ground conditions may be wet or muddy.

Announcement; The South Reading MCC will organise an Open Adult Solo Enduro Hare & Hounds event to be held under the National Sporting Code of the Auto-Cycle Union, the Enduro Standing and Event Specific Supporting Regulations, these Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions which may be issued.
The ACU National Sporting Code and Standing Regulations are published annually in the ACU Handbook.

PREMIER INSURANCE. Riders are provided with limited cover. Officials are covered and £40m public liability.
Eligibility. All riders must hold a current ACU or SACU licence; and be aged 15 or over. Any rider from another FMN must produce either a FIM licence or a licence issued by their FMN together with start permission confirming personal accident insurance. One event licences will be available via SPORT80 if a rider does not hold a valid competition licence. Riders who wish to apply for a full ACU licence must join a club first. South Reading M.C.C. Annual Club membership is available for £10 via acu.sport80.com/events
Entries. SOLO entry fee £60, (DAY Entries, if available will be £75),
Closing date for entries will be Thursday 29th October 2026 at 7pm. Total Entry limit 120.
Entry will be via acu.sport80.com/events ONLY before the event is full.

Start. The start will be at ASHDOWN FARM, BLEWBURY, OXON and will be signposted from the A417 between Streatley and Blewbury.
Event Open to all adults riding SOLO . Event will be Hare & Hounds only which will require the rider to complete as many laps as possible during the event. NO SPECIAL TEST The SOLO event will be 3 hours in length starting at 11am. There will be a riders meeting 15 minutes prior to the event which you must attend. The first 5 riders will start at racetime followed by further groups of 5. DEAD-ENGINE START. The starter will determine the gap between groups of 5 riders.
Classes SOLO EXPERT, CLUBMAN A, CLUBMAN B, BEGINNERS and VETERANS.
Refuelling – In designated area only. This area will be out of bounds to everyone except riders and officials
Course. All classes will compete on a 6-7 mile course consisting of open fields, woodland including hills. The course will not include use of public roads.
Signing on and Machine Examination. Drivers must sign on 45 – 60 minutes before the start producing:-
An ACU Licence. One day ACU licences are available and must be purchased via acu.sport80.com/events, they will not be available on the day. Machine Examination. Will be at least 30 minutes prior to start time, bikes will then be put in the Parc Ferme. Helmets to carry appropriate ACU stamp as defined in handbook. Riders to Note: You may be asked to take part in a drugs test. It is your responsibility to declare at signing on if you are taking prescribed drugs which may impact on performance.
Tyres. There are no tyre restrictions
Non-starters The South Reading MCC committee have decided that entry money will only be refunded to entrants who inform the Secretary of the Meeting at least 5 days before the event in writing if they are to be a non-starter.

Other Details Toilets and a Refreshment van will be available at the start.
Security Competitors must be aware that the security of their machines and other property remains their responsibility at all times.
South Reading MCC reserve the right to re-grade riders that they feel may have entered the wrong class.

SIGNING ON – Signing on will be from 8:30am. All riders EXCEPT those that have entered through the ACU SPORT80
website will need to prove that they have a 2026 enduro ACU licence or will be required to purchase a 1 event licence for £25.
Sorry we are only able to accept cash on the day. Riders will be handed their individual lap scoring wrist band. Numbers will be available to buy at signing on. Black and White numbers can be purchased on the day.
PARKING – Please park responsibly respecting everyone’s space.
SCRUTINEERING – Your bike must be presented for scrutineering as per ACU guidelines. Helmets to carry appropriate ACU
stamp as defined in handbook.
PARC FERME – Following scrutineering your bike needs to be placed in the Parc Ferme where the marshal instructs you to put it. PLEASE DO NOT push to the front, bad behaviours won’t be tolerated.
RIDERS MEETING – There will be a riders meeting for all at 10:45am.
START – The first SOLO riders will start at 11:00am followed by further groups. DEAD-ENGINE
START. The starter will determine the gap between groups of riders although all SOLO
competitors will be competing by 11:15am.
SOLO RACE DISTANCE WILL BE 3 HOURS
REFUELLING – In designated area only. This area will be out of bounds to everyone except riders and officials
Important Message – As per ESR 33, you must bring and use an ENVIRONMENTAL MAT
TYRES – There are no restrictions on tyres.
TOILET – will be available at the start area. Sanitiser will be available and we encourage you to use it prior to and after leaving the toilets. Please queue responsibly.
REFRESHMENTS – will be available at the start area. Please queue responsibly.
SAFETY – Will the slower riders please move over for the faster riders and the faster riders please
be patient with the slower riders.
First Aid will be available if required. All accidents to be reported to the Secretary of the Meeting.
All riders to provide a Fire Extinguisher.
GENERAL – Where two arrows are positioned to form a gate, you MUST ride between them
SOUTH READING M.C.C. HARE & HOUND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
GENERAL – The event will be Multi-Lap Hare & Hounds. Riders should complete as many laps as possible within 3 hours (SOLO) from your start time logging your laps by means of an electronic wrist strap
and a recorder positioned at the end of each lap. All laps started within your allotted time will count. When
you have completed the 3 hours you must hand your wrist strap in at the finish.
SPECIAL TEST – NO SPECIAL TEST.
PENALTIES – Starting engine before signal to do so 1 lap will be deleted from your total completed
Speeding in a BLUE TAPE area will initially incur a time penalty, 2nd time you will be docked a lap and a 3rd
time will result in EXCLUSION from this and future South Reading MCC events.
EXCLUSION – Machine Failing Noise Test. Refuelling outside the designated area. Smoking in refuelling area or behaving contrary to the code. Speeding in the BLUE TAPED areas (see above).
LITTER AND WASTE – It is the responsibility of each rider / Official / member of the public to take their own litter / waste
away with them.
